DealerPolicy is disrupting the personal lines insurance industry.  DealerPolicy’s technology is positioned within auto dealerships, enabling dealership customers to receive insurance quotes during the car-buying process.  These customers are then connected to Winooski, DealerPolicy’s wholly owned insurance agency, to complete the insurance transaction.  DealerPolicy sells an insurance policy to more than 20% of car buying customers and is currently expanding across the northeast and nationally.

Digital Client Advisor Program

DealerPolicy, an Insurtech company, and Vermont HITEC, a not-for-profit education center, are accepting applications for a no-cost accelerated Insurance Associate training program leading to guaranteed full-time jobs with DealerPolicy upon successful completion. All participants completing the program will be offered full-time positions as Client Advisors, enrolled in a Registered Apprenticeship, and earn a starting annualized base salary of $31,000 plus commission. 

Performance-based wage increases brings base salary up to $35,000 through the first year. Commission is uncapped and provides on average an additional $16,000-$20,000 per year. Combined salary and commission can exceed $50,000 per year.

Receptionist/Insurance Assistant

Winooski Insurance is looking for an energetic person that is willing to learn and grow with a rapidly expanding organization.

The candidate will be the face of the DealerPolicy / Winooski Insurance Agency and will be required to take on additional responsibilities as their skill set expands. This person will have a variety of responsibilities from answering phones to minor Insurance policy updates.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet all DealerPolicy / Winooski Insurance customers
  • Direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate department
  • Incoming and Outgoing Mail distribution
  • Ensuring office supplies are stocked
  • Pull and distribute Insurance Daily Reports for Personal and Commercial Lines
  • Process Insurance payments
  • Client facing support tasks
  • Customer claim follow up

Required Skills:

  • General office administration experience, managing phone systems.
  • Proficient in computer skills – Microsoft Word, Outlook
  • Friendly, helpful and outgoing Personality
  • Drive for superior customer customer
  • Must be able to work Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

Implementation Specialist

We are seeking an Implementation Specialist who is extremely detail-oriented and has experience in the automotive space or related industries. In addition, you must possess the ability to work well in a team environment, open to travel, with proven success in process development and management. This position will report directly to the Sr. Director of Dealership Operations.

General Responsibilities:

  • Assists external clients in the implementation of technical systems, software, hardware and solutions
  • Defines and executes on delivery and implementation plans; tests and troubleshoots final system setups
  • Provides training and end-user support during and after the implementation process
  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • P&C Insurance License – Producer
  • High level of proficiency is required in applications such as PL Rating, AMS 360, and insurance carrier websites
  • Ability to travel up to 75%

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Proven professional experience developing and facilitating training programs for technical positions, or similar experience in a training capacity in the corporate environment (experience teaching in the academic setting could also be beneficial)
  • 2+ years selling personal lines insurance
  • High level of proficiency in using the DealerPolicy application

Assistant Product Manager/Senior Product Analyst

We are seeking an Assistant Product Manager/Senior Product Analyst who is detail-oriented, quantitative and analytical. He or she will work with senior management on a regular basis to provide updates of key performance indicators (KPIs), relevant changes of partner carriers and the industry. This position offers an excellent opportunity to interact with Operations and Engineering departments within the organization, as well as outside insurance carriers and 3rd party partners. 
This position will report directly to the Chief Underwriting Officer.

General Responsibilities:

Operations

  • System configuration and testing - initiate and test procedural and system changes.
  • Become SME for carrier partner’s products, guidelines, rules and procedures.
  • Monitor current and developing industry issues and trends.

Data and Reporting

  • Work with engineering team to develop data warehousing, data visualization, and data analytics processes for internal use.
  • Develop and maintain reports of status of rating to monitor consistency, accuracy and competitiveness.

Analysis

  • Track and analyze company and carrier’s KPIs and identify emerging issues.
  • Research, recommend, test and implement solutions to complex technical or product problems or procedures.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, ideally including work in Property & Casualty personal lines insurance as a product analyst, underwriter, or business analyst.
  • Ability to learn to identify and define business problems and issues and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analyses.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and succinctly across a variety of media.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, and/or other programming/data query/reporting knowledge. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is required. Advanced technical knowledge a plus.
  • Intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in learning.
  • A self-motivated, high-energy individual who can easily function in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Minimum Education Requirements

Software Engineer - Business Intelligence

As a BI Engineer, you will build a rich set of data visualizations, reports, analytics and dashboards that will have a direct impact on the future of the business. You will prioritize analyses, develop tactical approaches and work across teams to deliver strong business results. You will translate business challenges into technical approaches to data analyses which yield actionable results. You will play a critical role in establishing enterprise-wide governance and utilization of data as an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a key contributor to all phases of the design and development lifecycle of the analytic platform utilizing Azure and Microsoft BI tools - specifically Power BI.
  • Act as an internal consultant to help business users develop, enhance and maintain the metadata layers, reports, report definitions and dashboards.
  • Design executive dashboards comprised of auto-refreshing reports targeted to the proper audience.
  • Author design documentation, assess technical feasibility for proposed solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, or at least four years of work-related experience
  • Three years of experience designing and developing complex data architectures
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Two years of hands-on experience with data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience creating and maintaining complex and performant ETL processes
  • Sound understanding of the base theory behind data visualization and dashboard design, preferably in a software agnostic context
  • Proven track record for working independently, taking charge of projects and delivering results
